Q. When in hypnosis, will I be aware of what's happening and will I remember everything?
YES. Hypnosis is a conscious method that allows you to remain aware and recall everything that happens.
Q. Can I be made to do or say anything against my will?
NO. Indeed, you would come out of hypnosis if such a thing were to be suggested to you.
Q. Can anyone enter hypnosis?
YES, once they have reached a certain level of maturity. People with severe psychosis or under the influence of alcohol or drugs may not effectively experience this state. People with a history of epilepsy should avoid the hypnotic state.
Q. Can hypnosis be harmful in any way?
NO. Hypnosis is a perfectly natural phenomenon which can be induced by a therapist or even by oneself. Everyone's experience is different: there is no definable feeling of being in hypnosis, only one of being very pleasantly and deeply relaxed.
Q. How many sessions will it require?
This varies depending upon your needs. One to three sessions may suffice although areas requiring analysis will take longer.
