We offer two options which will be discussed during the FREE INITIAL CONSULTATION.

1.         If you consider yourself to be obese  -  in the majority of cases there are psychological reasons for this and you should realise that your compulsion to eat is really no fault of your own.     You will have tried many times to overcome this compulsion and simply continued to gain weight.    In all probability the cause is hidden within your subconscious mind  -  possibly going back to childhood - and can only be uncovered by going through the process of analysis.     This process is explained in the Analysis page.

2.         The principle and aim behind this session is to reconnect you with a natural way of eating.   You’ve probably tried all those clever diets with impossible promises - all those exotic and different ways of losing excess pounds – and all they’ve ever done is to compound a sense of failure.   It’s quite amazing that only 2% of dieters gain lasting results from diets -  staggering statistics that you won’t find brandished about by dieting  product companies.   So why are all those diets so easily scuttled?    The main reason why virtually all diets fail is because they require you to use titanic proportions of willpower and discipline.   But why?   Surely you have sufficient willpower to achieve your most dearly wanted aims!   No doubt you wanted to be successful.   No doubt you thought you had the willpower when you started.   But the real problem is that, for 98 out of every 100 dieters, willpower alone is not enough.

This is where hypnosis is such a useful tool.    We aim to instil into the subconscious part of your mind that food will become just a normal part of life.    An enjoyable part … but re-educating your subconscious mind that you will only want to eat when you’re hungry.    We’ll also help you to learn that you can stop eating when you’ve had enough – until you’ve got used to gauging how much to put on your plate.   Once you’ve learnt this skill … you’ll find that you enjoy and feel completely satisfied with the amount of food that you put on your plate   It sounds so simple doesn’t it … and it is simple … and it’s the only way to reconnect your mind and your stomach so that you really enjoy preparing and eating your meal – but then will move on to the other things in your life.    Eating isn’t the be-all and end-all.    This way of looking at the process of shopping, cooking and eating becomes normal  –  a method which you’ll adopt for the rest of your life.

Yes, you’re overweight at the moment  -  so you will need to eat fewer calories than the units of energy you use in each day.    Hypnotherapy is well known as an aid to weight loss and can be used to combat bad habits and help you to feel more motivated and enthusiastic to choose healthy foods and exercise more.    We’re also re-educating your palette so that you really enjoy the food and drink that contains fewer calories.   Allow yourself time to appreciate these  wonderful foods - but you do that anyway.   You try a new recipe, or choose something different when you’re eating out and find that there’s something different that you really enjoy.

It can be difficult to keep yourself motivated with your exercise regime on your own - but we will be encouraging you to use your body a little more – enjoying more exercise which will have such a beneficial effect.   Moving around doing something you really enjoy will ensure that the endorphins kick in  -  the so-called ‘Happy Hormones’.
