::Curriculum Vitae::
Cathy Simpson
As a 'people person', Cathy Simpson has been interested for many years in what makes us all tick. She nursed for several years in Birmingham and Ascot. She has had an interest in graphology - the study of personality through handwriting - for over twenty years. She has undertaken a course with the British Graphology Association, for the study of graphology itself, but also for an in-depth study of psychology. Additionally, she has completed courses in Counselling and Child Psychology. She worked for many years as a co-ordinator with patients in the community who are being artificially fed. Now, as a fully qualified Psycho-analyst and Hypnotherapist, her interests are devoted to giving effective therapy for a wide variety of problems which respond well to analysis under hypnosis to achieve effective relief. She also gives sessions of Suggestion Therapy for various problems specialising in SMOKING which is of particular interest. Many people’s problems stem from a lack of confidence and this is where deep relaxation, together with positive suggestions, allows the client to begin to see themselves in a completely different light.
As a Member of the National Register of Advanced Hypnotherapists, regular training is undertaken and every Member has a Supervisor.
The core of the therapy depends on the development of a deeply caring, professional attitude to all clients so that they feel safe and are able to open up to their painful memories from the past leading, in many cases, to freedom from the symptoms that have dogged them for so long.
